In response to a question about several Chinese airlines jointly filing complaints to the US Department of Transportation over the order proposed last week by the US administration to bar Chinese airlines from flying over Russia when traveling to or from the US, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Wednesday that China had previously responded to the relevant issue, and questions about the specifics of the matter should be referred to competent Chinese authorities. 

Recently, the US administration's proposal to bar Chinese airlines from flying over Russia when traveling to or from the US has drawn attention. 

Lin noted that the US imposing restrictions on operations of Chinese carriers is not conducive to exchanges between the two countries' people and also harms the US' own interests. We have also noted that the US public has voiced numerous objections to this move. China supports Chinese enterprises in safeguarding their legitimate rights and interests, Lin said.
