Taiwan actors Chen Bolin, Hsiu Chieh-kai, and Joe Chang Shu-Wei were detained by police on Tuesday morning on suspicion of evading military service, according to Taiwan's TVBS News.

This is the third wave of investigations conducted by prosecutors and police in October, following the case of actor Darren Wang's military service evasion, the report said.

After successively detaining Chen Bolin and Hsiu, the police have taken them to the station for questioning, Taiwan-based outlet ETtoday reported.

They will be interrogated on how they came into contact with the primary suspect, surnamed Chen, who facilitated the evasion, as well as the methods and costs involved in avoiding military service, per the report.

Prosecutors from the Taiwan NewTaipei District Prosecutors Office were present throughout the process. Once the written transcripts are completed, the case will be transferred to the Office.

Chen Bolin gained popularity across both sides of the Taiwan Straits for his role in the 2011 television series In Time with You.

Hsiu rose to fame through his performance in the 2003 drama Friends and is married to renowned Taiwan actress Alyssa Chia.

Darren Wang and nine other people were arrested on February 18 for suspected of evading military service and document forgery, TVBS News reported.
