Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun
When asked to comment on the coming resumption of direct flights between China and India, as well as China-India relations, Guo Jiakun, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson, said on Friday that the resumption of direct flights between China and India represents the latest embodiment of the two sides' earnest implementation of the important consensus reached by leaders of two countries at their Tianjin meeting, and it is also a positive measure to facilitate friendly exchanges between more than 2.8 billion people of China and India.
China stands ready to work with India to view and manage bilateral relations from a strategic and long-term perspective, promote the sustained, healthy, and stable development of bilateral relations, deliver greater benefits to the two countries and peoples, and contribute to safeguarding peace and prosperity in Asia and beyond, Guo said.
