A wildlife park in Luoyang, Central China's Henan Province, has posted a recruitment video on social media, seeking a driver to feed free-ranging animals—including tigers—with a monthly salary of 50,000 yuan ($7,020), Guangming Online reported.

According to the video, the driver's responsibilities include operating specialized vehicles and opening doors to distribute food to free-roaming animals.

Zoo staff confirmed the recruitment, stating, "In addition to driving, the successful applicant will be responsible for feeding tigers and other animals."

During peak visitor periods, the driver may need to feed 100 to 200 ducks a day, among other tasks, staff said.

The zoo also specified that applicants must hold a driver's license for nine seats or fewer, have at least five years of driving experience, and show courage.

Since the recruitment video went viral, the park had received more than 2,000 applications by noon on Thursday, the report said.

"We will now contact interested candidates and ask them to submit their resumes to a designated email address," staff said.

The zoo also said that only one driver will be hired, and due to the overwhelming number of the applicants, the recruitment process has been temporarily suspended, according to the media report.
