China's National Data Administration said on Monday that during the upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030), it will prioritize supporting private enterprises with strong innovation power and mastery of core technologies to lead the development of relevant standards in the data field, China Media Group reported.
An official from the administration said that, in the process of developing relevant standards in the data sphere, an ecosystem of standards dominated by enterprises and mutually promoted by the government and enterprises is accelerating its formation.
Currently, among all units and institutions participating in the formulation of national relevant standards in the data field, enterprises account for 78 percent, according to the report.
Looking ahead to the 15th Five-Year Plan, the administration will continue to encourage and support enterprises—particularly private enterprises—to participate in standard formulation and revision, while prioritizing support for private enterprises with strong innovation capability and mastery of core technologies to lead standards development, the official noted, per the report.
