China and Ukraine are strategic partners, and China is willing to work with Ukraine to consolidate and advance bilateral relations and promote cooperation across various sectors, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin said during his meeting with Ambassador of Ukraine to China Olexander Nechytaylo on Friday, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

For his part, Nechytaylo emphasized the importance Ukraine attaches to its relations with China and expressed commitment to advancing bilateral ties on the basis of traditional friendship. 

The two sides also exchanged views on issues including the Ukraine crisis, the ministry said.
