Nexperia Netherlands and its related parties' series of unilateral actions have posed a potential threat to the stability of the global semiconductor supply chain, Nexperia's parent company, Wingtech Technology, stated in a public statement on Sunday, urging Nexperia Netherlands to genuinely respond and communicate to resolve control issues in order to safeguard the stability of the global supply chain.

The remarks were made to prevent the situation from escalating further and to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of all parties, said the company in the statement.

Since the improper intervention by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, in a responsible manner and with the principle of safeguarding the interests of global customers, and with strong support and facilitation from relevant Chinese government departments, Wingtech Technology has proactively shown goodwill, clearly expressing its willingness to engage in constructive communication with Nexperia Netherlands on how to restore Wingtech Technology's legal control and properly resolve the current dispute, said the statement.

We firmly believe that resolving differences through honest dialogue is the practical and proper way to ensure the company's normal operations and the stability of the global chip supply, according to the company.

However, it is deeply regrettable and puzzling that, despite our utmost sincerity, Nexperia Netherlands has so far not provided any substantive response to our communication proposals, said the statement.

In light of this, Wingtech Technology urges Nexperia Netherlands to, based on a genuine respect for facts and the law, put forward a constructive and truly sincere solution on how to restore Wingtech Technology's legal control and full shareholder rights.

The stability of the global semiconductor industry is crucial to the overall development of the sector, said the company, reiterating its call on all parties to act with a rational and responsible attitude, jointly safeguarding the stability and prosperity of Nexperia and ensuring the security of the global customers' supply chain.

Sunday's statement came as the Dutch chip maker Nexperia's Chinese parent company on Thursday said that the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs took the first step in properly handling the issue by suspending the administrative order, and urged the Dutch side to face up to the essence of the Nexperia issue and to swiftly and fully correct its mistake, stressing that it should ensure that the status of Nexperia returns to that before September 29.

Despite the announcement from the Dutch side, the relevant order remains in effect and is not affected by the suspension, Wingtech said in a statement posted on its official WeChat account on Thursday.

Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao held a video meeting with UK business minister Peter Kyle on Thursday at the latter's request, during which they conducted in-depth exchanges on the Nexperia issue, according to a statement on the Ministry of Commerce website.

The responsibility of the issue lies with the Netherlands, Wang stressed, while urging the Netherlands to truly shoulder responsibility and expedite efforts to help Nexperia and related enterprises resolve internal disputes through dialogue and legal means, and create more conducive conditions for restoring the security and stability of global semiconductor supply chain that remains fragile, said the statement.
