Mao Ning

When asked to comment on the phone talk between US and Japanese leaders, who reportedly discussed the importance of US-Japan alliance, regional situations, bilateral ties, and their positions on the Taiwan question, Mao Ning, spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said on Tuesday that the phone call between the leaders of the US and Japan is a matter between the two countries, and she would not comment on it. 

As for the Taiwan question, it is an internal affair of China and is not subject to interference by any external forces, Mao stated.
