Chinese Ambassador to Japan Wu Jianghao on Sunday lodged a solemn representation and strong protest with Japanese Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Funakoshi Takehiro over the harassment by Japanese Self-Defense Force (JSDF) aircraft against training by Chinese Navy's aircraft carrier formation, according to a release by the Chinese Embassy to Japan WeChat account.

Wu stated that disregarding China's repeated warnings and reminders, the Japanese side insisted on dispatching JSDF aircraft to repeatedly approach and disturb the sea and airspace where the Chinese Navy was conducting training, seriously affecting China's normal training activities and gravely endangering flight safety. The Japanese side has also turned the tables by releasing information that completely contradicts the facts, hyping the issue and misleading public opinion, which is an extremely irresponsible act. 

China solemnly demands that Japan immediately stop its smears and slander, strictly restrain frontline actions, and prevent the recurrence of similar incidents, read the release.
