A key Red Notice fugitive surnamed Hao, suspected of duty-related crime, was successfully apprehended and repatriated through law enforcement cooperation between China and the Philippines under the framework of Interpol, Chinese Embassy in the Philippines reported on its official WeChat account on Thursday.
The amount involved in the case of Hao reached approximately 970 million yuan ($137 million), according to the Embassy.
This marks another positive achievement in China-Philippines law enforcement cooperation, the Embassy said.
The Red Notice fugitives refer to individuals listed on the Red Notice roster issued by Interpol, according to state broadcaster CCTV News.
As of 2024, a total of 14,048 fugitives had been repatriated from over 120 countries and regions, including 2,999 Communist Party of China (CPC) members and state personnel, CCTV News reported in July 2025.
Among the 100 most-wanted Red Notice fugitives, 62 have been brought to justice, with illicit funds recovered amounting to 66.62 billion yuan, per CCTV News.
