When asked to comment on the 2025 Global Survey on Impression and Understanding of China published by the Global Times, which covers 46 countries and focuses on how foreign public perceives, understands, and evaluates China, and the findings that Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era receives high international recognition, international community's favorability toward China continues to rise, with growing expectations for China to play a greater role, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Monday that the linkage between China's development and the world is continuously strengthening currently, and China's international image is receiving great attention.

We have noted that this survey shows Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era receives high international recognition. Important concepts such as "Building a community with a shared future for humanity, "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets," "people-centered development philosophy," "further deepening reform comprehensively," and "advancing full and rigorous Party self-governance" have struck a deep chord among people. 

China's governance concepts and practices including implementation of the spirit of central Party leadership's eight-point decision on improving work conduct and formulation of five-year plans, receive international acclaim, Lin said. Global public opinion holds favorable view of China, shows strong interest in Chinese culture and tech, expects China to participate in international affairs, reform and improve global governance and hopes even friendlier relations with China, Lin said.   

"We have also noted that since this year, surveys by multiple international polling agencies show that an increasing number of international public have greater interest in China, better impressions, and stronger recognition of China," Lin said. 

These survey results reflect the world's full affirmation of China's development achievements, governance capabilities, open posture, and cooperative concepts, as well as the expectation of various countries for China to deeply participate in international affairs and lead global governance, the spokesperson added.

Lin emphasized that in the current complex and evolving international situation, benign interactions between China and the world, as well as mutual approaches between peoples of all countries, are particularly precious. We will continue to embrace the world with an open and confident posture, share development opportunities with sincere willingness, and take on the responsibility of leading global governance, to provide more stability and certainty to the world and join hands with all countries to write a new chapter of mutual achievement, the spokesperson added.
