"You can continue to follow the announcements to be issued by the spokesperson of the PLA Eastern Theater Command," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated Monday in response to an NHK reporter who inquired about the military exercises by the PLA Eastern Theater Command near the island of Taiwan. The reporter claimed that during the 2022 military exercises, live ammunition had landed in Japan's "exclusive economic zone," asking whether a similar situation might occur in the current exercises.
