A man from Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang Province, has been placed under administrative detention for verbally harassing a female customer at a noodle restaurant, according to a statement local police released on its official Weibo account on Tuesday evening.
The Gongshu district public security bureau in Hangzhou is handling an online viral incident, in which a was harassed while eating at a noodle restaurant, read the statement.
According to investigations, around 9 pm on Monday, while the victim and her friend were dining at a local noodle restaurant, they were repeatedly harassed by a nearby customer - a 38-year-old man surnamed Hong, who was under the influence of alcohol, the statement said.
As a result, Hong has been placed under administrative detention by public security authorities, according to the statement.
