China and South Korea are close neighbors and cooperative partners, and under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China hopes the visit will play a positive role in further advancing the China-South Korea strategic cooperative partnership, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Monday in response to media inquiries about China's expectations and more information for the China-South Korea leaders' meeting to be held today, as well as China's position on North Korea's ballistic missile launch on the day South Korean President Lee Jae-myung arrived in China, a move that violated the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. 

As for details related to the visit, information will be released in due course, and the public is asked to stay tuned, said Lin on Monday's press conference.

"Regarding the reports you mentioned about North Korea's launch activities, I have no specific comment," Lin said.
