Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning

When asked to confirm reports that Argentine President Javier Milei plans to pay a visit to China in 2026 and whether China is open to receiving him, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a press conference on Wednesday that she has no information to share at the moment regarding the visit. 

Meanwhile, "China attaches great importance to developing relations with Argentina and is willing to strengthen exchanges at all levels with the Argentine side, deepen political mutual trust and promote practical cooperation to deliver benefits to the peoples of both countries," said Mao.
