The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) held an annual work conference in Beijing on Tuesday, where it reviewed achievements in 2025 and outlined key tasks for 2026.

Regarding trade promotion work in 2026, CCPIT chairman Ren Hongbin said that the council will closely monitor adjustments to tariffs, rules of origin, and trade policies in relevant countries, and promptly issue risk warnings for Chinese enterprises.

The CCPIT will increase support for enterprises participating in and organizing overseas exhibitions. It will strengthen the promotion and implementation of free trade agreements, and assist companies in expanding exports through various channels such as cross-border e-commerce, overseas warehouses, and export credit insurance.

Reflecting on 2025 achievements, Ren highlighted that the CCPIT organized 2,144 Chinese corporate delegations to conduct visits and negotiations in 92 countries and regions, supporting Chinese enterprises in expanding overseas markets and optimizing global industrial layouts. Additionally, CCPIT held 830 symposiums with foreign-invested enterprises, involving 6,500 companies, to help support their operations.
