When asked to elaborate on China's efforts in cracking down on gambling centers in Myanmar, Lin Jian, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson, said that for some time, China has been actively cooperating with Myanmar and other countries to combat cross-border telecom and online fraud crimes, working together to eradicate the scourge of online gambling and telecom fraud, safeguarding the lives and property of the people, and maintaining the order of exchanges and cooperation among countries in the region, with notable results.

Lin added that China will continue to deepen international law-enforcement cooperation and intensify efforts to combat telecom fraud, online gambling and other related cross-border criminal activities, in order to jointly eradicate the scourge of gambling and fraud.
