In response to a question that following the announcement of Japan's election results, some posts on Chinese social media have expressed concerns about Japan's rightward shift, what's Chinese government's comment on this, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said that in the past, Japanese militarists led Japan into wars of aggression, committing heinous crimes against Asian neighbors and the world, and bringing profound disaster to the Japanese people as well. The lessons of history are profound.

Only by learning from history can we look to the future. Will Japan adhere to the path of peaceful development and earn the trust of its neighboring countries and the international community through concrete actions? Or will it go against the tide of history and challenge the post-war international order? This warrants serious reflection by Japanese political figures and insightful members of Japanese society, Lin said.
