China-Germany cooperation is mutually beneficial and brings tangible benefits to the peoples of both countries, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Wednesday in response to a question about German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's stance on China prior to his departure for Beijing, as unlike the previous government, Merz did not describe China as a "systemic rival" this time.
