The Chinese embassy and consulates in Iran on Saturday reminded Chinese citizens in Iran to closely monitor changes in the security situation as the country faces significantly increase in external security risks recently. 

In a post on its WeChat account, the Chinese Embassy in Iran urged Chinese citizens in Iran to strengthen their awareness of precautions, refrain from photographing sensitive locations such as government agencies and military facilities, pay attention to "No Photography" signs, and avoid accidentally taking photos or entering such areas.

Those planning to travel by air should monitor flight information, according to the post.

The embassy urged Chinese citizens in Iran to report to the local police immediately and contact the Chinese embassy or consulate in Iran in case of emergency.
