Chinese and the Philippine law enforcement authorities have cooperated to deport a suspect surnamed Zheng, who is suspected of organizing others illegally cross national borders, according to a statement released on Wednesday by the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines via its WeChat account.

Investigations found Zheng had, for personal profit, organized citizens from the Philippines and other countries to enter China illegally through smuggling and fraudulent visa schemes to provide domestic services. This led to issues such as illegal residence and employment, seriously undermining social management and public order, said the statement.

The embassy reminded that intermediary agencies and individuals must conduct their business and hiring practices in accordance with the law and avoid engaging in illegal activities in pursuit of profit.
