"Everyone is clear about an ironclad fact: Japan has invaded all of its neighboring countries. A country that once brought profound suffering to the people of Asia and the world, and that has yet to truly reflect on its history of aggression, is now continuously hyping up so-called external threats. This is completely groundless and driven by ulterior motives, said Senior Colonel Jiang Bin, spokesperson for China's Ministry of National Defense, at a press conference on Thursday.

Jiang made these remarks when asked to comment on reports that the Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Kakaichi claimed that Japan was facing "the most severe and complex security environment" since World War II, citing not just China but also Russia and North Korea, while urging to prepare for new forms of warfare, including the mass deployment of unmanned drones.

Japan's attempts to divert domestic contradictions, mislead the international community and pursue "re-militarization" are starkly evident. Its dangerous moves, such as pushing for the revision of the "three security documents," vigorously developing offensive military capabilities, and even openly advocating for nuclear armament, warrant close vigilance, Jiang said.

"We advocate learning from history and looking toward the future, but more importantly, we must take history as a warning to prevent its tragedies from recurring. Peace-loving people around the world should unite to resolutely curb the emergence and spread of Japan's ' neo-militarism' and firmly safeguard regional peace, stability, and the safety and well-being of our people," the spokesperson noted.
