Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun

In response to media inquiry on China-Russia energy cooperation in light of Russian FM Sergei Lavrov's remarks in Beijing that Russia could make up for the resource shortfall facing both China and other countries caused by hampered traffic in Strait of Hormuz, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Wednesday that regarding the issue of the Strait of Hormuz, we have stated China's position on many occasions.

China and Russia have always conducted practical cooperation across various fields, including energy, on the basis of mutual respect and mutual benefit, Guo said.
