Guo Jiakun

Jimmy Lai was a major organizer and participant in anti-China and destabilizing activities in Hong Kong, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Tuesday in response to a question about whether China is considering releasing Jimmy Lai.

Hong Kong affairs are China's internal affairs, and the Chinese central government firmly supports Hong Kong's judicial authorities in performing their duties in accordance with the law, Guo said.
