The China-Europe Railway Express handled 5,460 freight train runs in the first quarter of this year, up 29 percent year-on-year, with the volume of goods transported up 22 percent year-on-year to reach 546,000 twenty-foot equivalent units, injecting new vitality into China-EU cooperation as well as social development of countries along the routes, according to data released on Thursday by China State Railway Group Co.
