Geely May sales up 14.6% to 31,041 units

Geely Auto announced June 9 the company sold 31,041 vehicles in May, up 14.6 percent from a year earlier, due to the strong demand in the domestic market.

But the automaker's sales declined 4.3 percent month on month, according to Chinese media.

In the first five months of 2010, Geely's vehicles sales grew 45.5 percent from a year earlier to 166,320 units, achieving 41.6 percent of the company's full-year sales target of 400,000 units.

Geely's three best-selling models in May were the Free Cruiser, Kingkong, and Vision, which sold 4,525, 5,849 and 6,721units, respectively. The Emgrand sold 5,949 units.
