At the invitation of the Chinese government, Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of the Kingdom of Thailand will visit China from Thursday to Tuesday, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday.
This will be Princess Sirindhorn's 50th visit to China. China warmly welcomes Princess Sirindhorn, an old friend and good friend of the Chinese people and recipient of the Friendship Medal, the highest honor given by the Chinese government to foreigners, Mao Ning, spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said at a routine press conference on Wednesday.
Princess Sirindhorn's upcoming visit will become a milestone in the history of China-Thailand friendly exchanges, further enrich the cultural content of the China-Thailand community with a shared future, and write a new chapter in the special friendship between China and Thailand, Mao said.
During the visit, Chinese leaders will meet with her and jointly attend the celebration of the Princess' 50th visit to China hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. In addition to Beijing, Princess Sirindhorn will also visit South China's Guangdong Province, Mao said.
