Responding to media inquiries about the arrival and assumption of duties in Beijing of the new US Ambassador to China, David Perdue, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Thursday that China is willing to facilitate Ambassador Perdue in carrying out his duties. 

China's position on China-US relations remains consistent, we view and handle the relationship based on the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation, and we hope the US side will meet the Chinese side halfway, Lin noted.
