When asked for more details regarding the killing of two Japanese nationals in Dalian, according to a public notice released by Liaoning Province, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Tuesday that on May 23, Dalian police received a report of a criminal case involving two deaths. Preliminary investigations revealed that the victims were Japanese nationals who were business partners of the suspect and the case arose from contradictions related to their business cooperation.
Lin stated that the case is currently under further investigation, and the relevant Chinese authorities will handle it in accordance with the law.

Dalian police has already issued a public notice, and the suspect is of Chinese nationality.
