Recently, the news that Spring Airlines will allow female flight attendants to wear flat shoes during flights has attracted public attention. Staff at Spring Airlines confirmed that the news is true, which means that Spring Airlines' flight attendants can wear flat shoes throughout their duty period, eliminating the need to switch between high heels and flats, the Paper reported.

The staff said that move is in response to the civil aviation administration's call to reduce the risk of injury to employees due to turbulence caused by adverse weather conditions. It also helps alleviate physical strain and reflects the company's care for its employees.

Previously, from the time of pre-flight check-in until the end of the post-flight debriefing, except for when working on the aircraft, cabin crew members of Spring Airlines were required to wear high heels during the rest of their working hours. As a result, crew members needed to bring an extra pair of shoes and change between different occasions.

According to the regulations of the Cabin Operations Management issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China on December 7, 2024, cabin crew should not wear high heels during the period from the start of the aircraft's taxi until the passengers have disembarked at the destination.

Juneyao Airlines currently provides flight attendants with both high heels and flat shoes to choose from, but flat shoes must be worn during work on the aircraft, the Paper reported.

According to previous reports, Air Travel has fully implemented the policy of flight attendants wearing flat since August 2024.
