When asked about the details and China's position on the Iranian nuclear issue after a trilateral meeting between the representatives of Iran, Russia and China in Tehran on July 22 discussed the issue surrounding the Iranian nuclear program, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Wednesday that China has always advocated for the peaceful resolution of the Iranian nuclear issue through political and diplomatic means. China will continue to play a constructive role in promoting the resumption of dialogue and negotiations, so as to reach a solution that accommodates the legitimate concerns of all sides, he said.

The three sides agreed to continue consultations and coordinate their efforts to resolve the crisis around the Iranian nuclear program, according to Tass News Agency.
