A 9-year-old girl from East China's Shandong Province can sleep and read while lying on a suspended rope, with her longest stretch lasting more than 10 minutes, Guangming Daily reported.

The girl's mother, surnamed Feng, shared several videos online. In the videos, her daughter can be seen climbing a rope in the living room, steadily maintaining her balance. The latest video also shows how she climbs up and gets down.

Feng said that her daughter began learning martial arts when she was just over six years old. She explained that the initial purpose of learning martial arts was simply to “let my daughter get more exercise in her spare time and improve her physical fitness."

As for why she encouraged her daughter to practice lying on the rope, Feng explained she had once come across a video of a blogger doing the same. "She was quite interested after watching it, so I installed a rope in our living room for her to practice on," she added.

Over time, the girl learned how to climb up and down with ease. "She can even lie on it and read books, and the longest she’s stayed on it is over ten minutes," Feng said.

After Feng posted the videos, many netizens praised the little girl's talent. Feng said that her daughter was surprised and delighted by the support and has become even more motivated.
