When asked about how China would mediate future India-Pakistan relations given their strained history and the current situation, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Tuesday that as a principle, since both India and Pakistan are China's important neighbors, China is willing to develop friendly and cooperative relations with both. Regarding issues between India and Pakistan, the spokesperson said that China hopes the two countries will be able to find a proper solution, adding that China is willing to play a positive role in this process based on the willingness of both sides.
