When responding to a question regarding report that Vanuatu's Minister of Internal Affairs Andrew Napuat stating that Vanuatu is seeking a formal policing and security agreement with China, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at Tuesday's press conference that China's cooperation with Vanuatu is based on mutual respect, equal consultation, mutual benefit, and openness. 

China will continue to offer support based on Vanuatu's wish and needs, and within its capabilities, enhancing friendly exchanges and cooperation across various fields to benefit both nations and their peoples. For specifics on the mentioned issue, Guo recommended referring to competent Chinese authorities.
