The emergency management bureau of Donghai county, Lianyungang in East China’s Jiangsu Province issued a release regarding a roof collapse accident, in which all four trapped individuals were rescued and sent for medical treatment, according to Donghai Fabu, a news platform of Donghai county government, on Thursday.

At around 11 am on Thursday, a partial roof collapse occurred on the third floor of a restaurant in Donghai. Public security, fire and emergency response departments immediately launched rescue operations at the scene. By around 1 pm, all four trapped individuals had been rescued and sent for medical treatment. Follow-up work is proceeding in an orderly manner, and the cause of the accident is still under further investigation, according to a release issued by the Donghai emergency management bureau.
