A 10-meter-tall giant sculpture with realistic skin textures and visible pores, has been installed in a shopping mall at a cost of more than 1 million yuan ($140,000), as a way to attract visitors during the National Day holidays, the Jimu News reported recently.

The two-story-tall sculpture made a striking debut inside a local shopping mall in Taiyuan, North China's Shanxi Province, drawing large crowds.

With lifelike textures and visible pores, the sculpture has strong visual impact and artistic impact, and has gone viral on social media platforms, the report said.

A mall staff member said the 10-meter-tall sculpture is placed in the atrium on the first floor.

The sculpture is part of the mall's "giant exhibition." "This exhibition is our first nationwide showcase," the staff said.

The sculpture, according to the staff, was custom-made by an external company using full-body silicone skin technology. It closely replicates the texture and tone of human skin, with production costs exceeding 1 million yuan.

The mall said the display aims to boost exposure during the National Day holidays, attracting more people to visit and take photos.

"A growing number of customers have come to visit and take photos, all of whom are drawn to such a lifelike giant sculpture, which looks almost real," staff said.
