In response to a question which said that US president Donald Trump claimed that the AUKUS is moving full steam ahead, and it suggested his support for the Biden-era security agreement that had been under a cloud since his return to office, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Tuesday that China has repeatedly stated its position on the so-called trilateral security partnership established by the US, the UK and Australia and their advancing cooperation on nuclear submarines and other cutting-edge military technologies.
We have always opposed the creation of camp confrontation, opposed increasing nuclear proliferation risks and opposed intensifying the arms race, Guo said.
