"Your phone is left here, so we save your phone, and you need to post on Chinese version TikTok, cheers!" This video, recorded by local young people in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, on a Chinese tourist's phone after they found it, led them to become good friends.

A tourist from Shanghai surnamed Yuan lost her phone while traveling in Kota Kinabalu. After retrieving it, she discovered two adorable videos in her phone's photo album, Guangzhou Broadcasting Network (GZBN) reported.

The videos were recorded by a group of local young people who had found the phone. In the clip, they said, "Your phone is left here, so we save your phone, and you need to post on Chinese version TikTok, cheers!"

Eventually, Yuan contacted them and retrieved her phone, the report said. After seeing the videos, she did as the young men asked and posted them on Douyin.

Once posted, the videos received numerous likes from netizens. Some commented that "The blogger had encountered a wonderful group of young people," while others said that "There are still many lovely and kind-hearted people in the world."

Yuan later contacted the same group of youths who had picked up her phone, and they became friends. The young people from both countries sat around a table chatting and singing, according to Yuan's post on social media.

Yuan said she was truly amazed that such a lovely story had happened to her and that she deeply values this cross-border friendship, the report said.
