Responding to a question whether China would arrange the trips as Japanese media reported that the Japan-China Friendship Parliamentarians' Union and Keidanren Chairman Tsutsui Yoshinobu have expressed hopes to visit China, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Tuesday at a regular press briefing that China has noted the information as well as the concerns expressed by many people of insight in Japan over the vicious impact and grave consequences caused by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's erroneous remarks on Taiwan.

Lin said China urges Japan to reflect on and correct its mistakes, retract Takaichi's erroneous remarks, and stop harming the feelings of the people of the two countries. He stressed that Japan should show its political commitment to China through concrete actions and create necessary conditions for normal exchanges between the two countries, and expressed hopes that the relevant groups in Japan will play a greater, positive role domestically.
