China attaches great importance to improving and developing China-UK relations and is willing to strengthen exchanges with the UK side at all levels, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Wednesday's press conference when asked to confirm reports that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer would visit Beijing and Shanghai from January 29 to 31.

The Chinese side has not yet held discussions with the British side on specific issues such as the dates for Prime Minister Starmer's China visit, the spokesperson said.
