In response to a Reuters report citing the Financial Times that two sources claimed Beijing would still restrict purchases of Nvidia's advanced H200 chips despite the Trump administration's decision to allow their sales to China, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Wednesday at a regular press briefing that the ministry had already addressed the issue the previous day. He added that inquiries about specific details should be directed to relevant Chinese authorities.

Also at the same press briefing, when asked to comment on another Reuters report saying Nvidia had developed a "location-verification technology" to identify where its chips are operating in and prevent smuggling into countries where their export is banned and whether China had any security concerns regarding the import of Nvidia chips, Guo said he was not aware of the specific situation.
