Media outlets reported on Wednesday that a casino area in Oddar Meanchey province of Cambodia came under artillery fire, resulting in injuries to Chinese nationals. The Chinese Embassy in Cambodia is actively verifying the relevant situation, according to a statement issued by the Embassy on its official WeChat account.

The Embassy once again advises Chinese nationals in Cambodia, especially those in Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, and Pursat provinces, which are near the Cambodia-Thailand border, to move to safe areas as soon as possible. Chinese nationals in other regions are advised not to travel to the Cambodia-Thailand border areas for the time being. In case of emergencies, one should report to the local police promptly and seek assistance from the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia, the statement said.
