China will steadfastly advance new industrialization and expand high-level opening-up, creating more opportunities for foreign-invested enterprises, including AMD.
The remarks were made when Li Lecheng, Minister of Industry and Information Technology, met with Lisa Su, chair and chief executive of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) on Wednesday, according to the official WeChat account of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
The two sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in digital economy and artificial intelligence (AI), among other topics.
Li said that China boasts rich data resources and extensive application scenarios, with digital technologies and AI developing rapidly and empowering industries across the board.
Li expressed hope that AMD will continue to deepen its presence in the Chinese market and grow innovatively alongside upstream and downstream enterprises in China's industrial chain to achieve mutual benefit and win-win development.
Su thanked the MIIT for its support for AMD's development in China. She stated that AMD will continue to increase investment in China, further enhance cooperation with Chinese partners, and jointly promote industrial innovation and development.
