The collusion and mutual abetment between "Taiwan independence" forces and anti-China forces precisely expose their guilty conscience and fear in the face of the unsheathed sword against "Taiwan independence." There will be no space whatsoever for any form of "Taiwan independence" separatist activity, and China will never allow any external forces to aid or abet such actions or interfere in China's internal affairs, Peng Qing'en, spokesperson for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, said on Wednesday.
Peng made the remarks in response to comments by Tsai Ming-yen, head of Taiwan's so-called "security" authority, who claimed that the Chinese mainland is accustomed to targeting "Taiwan independence" figures and pro-Taiwan individuals, adding that such measures carry only "symbolic significance" and that "pro-Taiwan" individuals do not care whether they can enter the mainland.
Taiwan is a part of China, and "Taiwan independence" constitutes illegal and criminal activities that seek to split the country and endanger peace and stability across the Taiwan Straits. Punishing "Taiwan independence" separatist crimes in accordance with the law is a just and necessary measure to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity and to combat illegal activities, said Peng.
