On the issue of hacking, China has stated its position many times. China has consistently opposed and cracked down on hacking activities in accordance with the law, and firmly opposes the dissemination of false information related to China for political purposes, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Thursday, in response to a media inquiry on media reports which claimed that a Chinese hacker group had "carried out" an attack on the email systems of staff members of the US House of Representatives.
