We have always opposed interference in other countries' internal affairs and we have always maintained that the sovereignty and security of all countries should receive full protection under international law. We oppose the use of force or the threat of use of force in international relations. We call on all parties to do more things that are conducive to peace and stability in the Middle East, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated, when asked to comment on a media question noting that the protests in Iran have resulted in deaths and that US President Donald Trump threatened if Iran uses lethal force against protesters, he might strike Iran. 

China hopes that the Iranian government and people can overcome the current difficulties and maintain national stability, Mao stated at a regular press conference on Monday.
