In response to claims by US President Donald Trump on Monday that any country doing business with Iran would face a 25 percent tariff hike on businesses being done with the US, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at Tuesday's press briefing that China's position on the tariff issue is very clear: there are no winners in a tariff war, and China will firmly safeguard its own legitimate and lawful rights and interests.
