In response to a question about US President Donald Trump's claims on social media that he gave his endorsement of Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi ahead of a snap election in Japan, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Friday at the regular press briefing that elections are Japan's internal affairs and he had no comment.
