The Chinese Embassy in Israel on Monday once again reminded Chinese nationals in the country to stop risking their safety, return to China as soon as possible or evacuate, and further step up security measures.
According to a statement released by the embassy, the security situation in the Middle East is continuing to worsen. The scope, frequency, and intensity of missile and drone attacks on Israel have further increased, leading to rising casualties and property losses, as well as repeated incidents of people being harmed because they failed to reach bomb shelters in time.
The embassy once again reminded Chinese nationals in Israel to return to China or move to safer areas as soon as possible, and to stay away from airports, ports, power plants, refineries, and other key infrastructure facilities and sensitive military sites.
Meanwhile, the embassy also urged Chinese nationals to strictly follow the safety instructions issued by Israel's Home Front Command, ensure access to bomb shelters near their residences and workplaces, and immediately enter shelters upon hearing air-raid sirens. It also urged them to take effective precautions, not to lower their guard, and to remain vigilant.
The embassy will organize another group of Chinese nationals, including compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, to evacuate through the Taba border crossing in Egypt's South Sinai province on Wednesday, according to the statement. Chinese nationals in Israel, particularly those in high-risk areas, are urged to make the necessary preparations.
