China consistently upholds respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries and opposes the violation of other countries' sovereignty or interference in their internal affairs under any pretext, Mao Ning, a spokesperson for China's Foreign Ministry said on Monday when asked for China's comment regarding US President Donald Trump's claim that "Cuba is next."

China firmly supports Cuba in safeguarding its sovereignty and security, and opposes external interference, Mao said.
